NRA RSO “Stop the Bleed” & AED Class

Expand your skills and serve our shooting community by taking the NRA Certified Range Safety Officer (RSO) Course hosted by the ORSA Rifle and Pistol Club.

Taught by an NRA Chief RSO John Barone and ORSA Chief RSO Angi Agle, along with certified medical professionals, this comprehensive session covers range safety protocols, ORSA Rifle & Pistol Standard Operating Procedures, as well as First Aid, CPR/AED, and Stop the Bleed training.

Participants must commit to volunteering for at least one 4-hour RSO shift per month on the Indoor or adjacent Outdoor Ranges.

Event Details: 

• Date & Time: Saturday, October 10, 2026, from 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM.

• Meet At: Clubhouse @ 9:00 AM

• Cost & Materials: $30.00 (includes training manual and all materials). Drinks are available at the Indoor Range.

• Requirements: Open to ORSA members. Bring lunch and snacks, and dress appropriately for spending up to an hour outdoors.

• Capacity: Limited to 20 participants on a first-come, first-served basis.

• NRA Certificate: Registering your certificate with the NRA upon completion is optional (NRA members receive a discounted registration fee).
